Half Way There!!

Whoah!
1/2 Way?!?!
Really?
I Feel good, I can only pray that the second half of my pregnancy goes as easy as the first half!
(for some reason, I think that is somewhat unrealistic, but thinking positive is good)!

My belly is definitely more defined now as a "pregnant belly" I have been taking some belly shots,
to look back at later, but just cant get myself to share them with the world yet, maybe in a couple more weeks.
Keith tells me about every day, woah, your belly is really growing into a pregnant belly.
I feel the stretching of everything, have no pains, but boy - those stretch marks just won't quit showing up...I just do my best to ignore those "minor" details. : /

Next Week is our 5 month Checkup. *I'm Very Anxious* to see what that amazing Ultrasound has to reveal!
I'll be sure to share all of our new updates with you after the doctor's visit!

Here's what the professionals say our Stats are this week:

You're 20 weeks pregnant, your baby is getting used to all his developing parts. Your baby is moving around and you may be able to feel it. Baby development includes:
  • When you're 20 weeks pregnant, your baby measures about 6 inches, about the length of an eggplant, and weighs about half a pound.
I must admit, I've never, ever bought an eggplant, and don't know why I would ever eat one, so I had to realy look up the size & shape just as a refresher course on this vegetable:
  • Your baby's skin thickens and develops layers under the vernix during the 20th week of pregnancy.
  • His hair and nails continue to grow.
  • His limbs are well developed when you’re 20 weeks pregnant.
  • Your baby is moving and you can feel it. Make a note of when you felt these movements start and let your doctor know.
Have a Good Week everyone!

Week 16

We're Officially thru our 1st Trimester!
This week is the start of our 16th week.
At the end of the week, I can say "I'm 4 Months!" woah, where did this time go?

I feel great, I cannot (shouldn't) complain. I have very little nausea, much more energy than in weeks past, have been sleeping well, and I hope each day, I'm eating healthy enough, for our little one! I do notice that my belly is growing, I have "advanced" into maternity clothes, tricky finding clothes, because I find I'm still at an "in between" stage, but I'm thinking not for long!

I have started to prep our rooms for the transition of the "room swap".
Our office will be turning into our spare bedroom, and our spare now, will be the baby's room.
I've been researching baby furniture, with thoughts of having it here, so that when the room is ready, the furniture will go right in!! But WOW, there is just too much to choose from. I'm thinking the decision of how much to spend, what grade quality, how many pieces? etc. etc. ! is just a little overwhelming.
Mommy - just make the choice and move on!

Enough about me! Here's how Baby is Doing:
  • Your baby is about 4 to 5 inches long — about the length of a large pear.
  • Your baby's skeletal and nervous systems connect enough to allow him to coordinate movement.
  • When you're 16 weeks pregnant, developed facial muscles make it possible for your baby to squint, frown, or try other facial expressions.
  • As back muscles strengthen, your baby is able to straighten his posture a little.
  • Your baby now has eyelashes.
  • By your 16th week of pregnancy, your baby's eyes move side-to-side and even perceive some light, although his eyelids are still sealed.
  • Your baby's bones build and strengthen with the help of your body's calcium!
  • Your baby already might be having tiny hiccups, although when you’re 16 weeks pregnant, your baby is not large enough for you to feel them yet!

Our next Dr. Visit is this Thursday, hoping for another good report!
Then.....only 4 more weeks until we find out if it's going to be a Wolter Boy, Or a Wolter Girl!
Stay Tuned!

Our Secret!

Okay, most of you do know by now, yes,
We're Pregnant!
I do still pinch myself to realize, "Yes, This Is Real"!
(the fatigue and morning anytime of day sickness also reminds me)!
Here's our little one, now the size of a green olive,
who has grown one whole inch since our picture was taken last week:
Say a little prayer the next couple weeks go smoothly; Mommy is still a little nervous, and waits for the 12th week to pass, and be thru our 1st trimester!
